New Single “Saturn in June”
Recorded in one night in LA, this dreamy single produced by multi-instrumentalist Jake Miles who's musical talents are heavily featured. We intentionally made fast decisions, focusing on vibe and feel over perfection. The results are a unique soundscape punctuated by Bina's imagistic lyrics routed in concise poetic scenes involving nature and the body as well as playful references to astrology. The music video, utilizing light/shadows and color contrasts to match the surrealism of the song.
Influenced by artists ranging from Bowie to Daniel Johnston, Cam Bina is the latest project from poet and performer Cameron Bina. After a decade spent leading cult-favorite projects Ghormeh Sabzi (inspired by his Iranian heritage) and later Strange Mother in Austin, Texas, Bina reveals a new layer of exploratory depth and profound emotion from this remarkable songwriter.
